Part 1A match, not a grade
Think of criteria as the specifications for a group, like the size and shape a part must have to fit a machine. A person who does not fit that group has not failed anything.
Part 2Yes-or-no questions
Each criterion is written so a team can answer it with a check or a record. That is why the language is rigid, with exact ages, dates and test values.
Part 3Where the list lives
Public registries show a short version. The full version appears in the study protocol, which the study team uses. If the two seem to differ, the team can clarify.
Part 4After the checklist
Passing screening is only a step. A person then reads and discusses the consent form and decides freely. We explain how this works in general; we cannot say whether any person is eligible.
