About
What “eligible” means in a research study.
Part 1Who writes this
Eligiara started with an observation from a volunteer reader: the hardest sentence in a study listing is the one that says who it is for.
The lessons are short and organized like a school unit, each with a plain summary and a few questions to bring to a doctor or study team.
Part 2What we leave out
We will not tell you which study to choose, steer you to a research site, or pass your information on. Our job is to explain, not to recruit.
Eligiara is published by The Nelson M Group LLC. It is an educational website only. We are not a medical provider, a research sponsor, a study site or a recruiter.
Part 3Our sources and checks
Every guide is written by the Eligiara editorial team at The Nelson M Group LLC from general, widely shared guidance, such as public resources from the National Institutes of Health and the FDA, plus the patient-education pages of university medical centers. Each guide shows the month it was last reviewed, and we revisit them at least once a year.
If a guide seems off, tell us at [email protected] (subject: “Correction”). When our summary and your own paperwork differ, your paperwork is right.
